Marvin Modules: Delay
The delay is simply a delay. Once the e-mail message goes through the
DNSBL list and passes,
it will go on to the delay. Users can set a time delay before the message
is sent back through the DNSBLs again. The advantage here is if
a new spam message is sent out, the DNSBLs may not know of it yet
and the spam message will pass the DNSBL process.
By simply putting in a delay of a half hour for example, the chances someone
else has received that same message and reported it to one of the DNSBLs
is pretty good. Then when the spam message is sent back through the DNSBLs,
and the DNSBL(s) you have chosen is updated, it will flag the message
as spam and throw it into your holding area.
Once the time delay is reached, the message goes through the same DNSBLs
(which have been updated) again and if the message is reported as spam this
time, it will be rejected.
